Sriracha Mayo Furikake Salmon

Super quick and easy! This Sriracha Mayo Furikake Salmon recipe is one of my go-to recipes for when I want to eat in about 15 minutes.

It is inspired by my time in Hawai’i where fresh fish is super common! You’ll often see Furikake Salmon or Furikake Ahi on the menu and plate lunch restaurants. You’ll often find it served with rice and macaroni salad but I prefer greens over mac salad

Furikake and kewpie mayo are easily found in any Asian supermarket but for 100% success rate, find a Japanese market.

Ingredients

  • 2 filets of salmon. about 1 pound total
  • 2 tablespoons kewpie mayo
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon sriracha sauce
  • furikake to taste
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste

Directions

1. Preheat the oven to 400º F. Line a baking pan with parchment paper

2. Create the sriracha mayo by mixing the sriracha sauce and kewpie mayo in a small bowl. Have a few taste tests to land on a sauce that you like.

3. Take your salmon filets and pat dry with paper towel if the fish has excess moisture. Salt and pepper both sides to taste. Spread the sriracha mayo you created in step 2 over both filets. Sprinkle a healthy layer of furikake that covers the whole filet.
