Kimchi Egg Musubi

I created this Kimchi Egg Musubi in the onigirazu style. I would describe this as a musubi that looks like a sandwich. You achieve this look by placing the rice in a square but in a diamond offset on the full sheet of nori. After placing your ingredients, wrap it up by bringing the corners into the middle. Wrap with plastic wrap and slice and enjoy! After removing the plastic wrap of course! Be careful not to overstuff but if you do, just use another sheet of nori!

Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs
  • about 1/4 cup kimchi
  • shortgrain white rice
  • 1 full sheet nori

Directions

1. Cook rice

2. In a small oiled frying pan, cook eggs over easy.

3. Using one full sheet of nori, place a thin square of rice in a diamond offset from the nori.

4. Add a layer of kimchi then the fried egg then finally one more layer of rice.

5. Wrap up by bringing the corners of the nori to the center.

6. Wrap in plastic wrap and slice to maintain a gorgeous onigirazu
