Mi Goreng Waffle

I always wanted to know: Will Mi Goreng Waffle?

This Mi Goreng waffle recipe is pretty straight forward. Simply cook the mi goreng in a waffle iron! The one trick I used was to mix the flavor and seasoning packets with an egg. This helps bind the noodles together while they cook.

I use the ever-popular Indo Mie brand because we always have it on hand! It is our favorite.

Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 1 package mi goreng. Indo Mie brand recommended. Any “dry” noodle would also work!

Directions

1. Start by preparing the instant noodles. In a pot, bring water to a boil and drop in your noodles. Let them boil about 1 to 2 minutes until al dente. Strain and remove from heat.

2. In a small bowl, whisk together the egg as well as the flavor packets from the instant noodle package.

3. Dredge the cooked noodles in the egg and seasoning solution and drop them on the hot waffle iron. Close the waffle iron and let it cook for 3 to 5 minutes until it reaches a brown color and has a bit of a crispy crust.

4. Serve and enjoy!
