Fluffernutter (Day 9 of Bread Challenge)

Fluffernutter. What an interesting concept. Simply a sandwich of marshmallow creme and peanut butter, I added bacon to give it an additional texture and bit of saltiness. Easy to make. Easy to love.

The first time I had fluffernutter was with Lisa Nguyen in Kansas City. We happened to see it on a menu and since I had never had it, we had to order it! I really didn’t expect to like it so I was surprised when I ate the whole thing!

Like the one I had in Kansas City, the bacon really ties it all together.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices sandwich bread
  • 2 slices bacon, fried
  • 1 ounce peanut butter, adjust according to your preference
  • 1/2 ounce marshmallow creme. adjust according to your preference

Directions

1. Fry bacon until crispy.

2. On one slice of bread, spread peanut butter to your satisfaction

3. On the other slice of bread, spread marshmallow creme to your satisfaction

4. Place bacon slices on either slice and assemble the sandwich.

5. Try your best not to devour in 5 seconds.
