Banana Bread Latte Syrup (Attempt #1)

A very poor attempt at making a banana simple syrup. Would not recommend. Check out the other attempts.

Ingredients
  

  • 150 grams mashed banana
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • ½ cup pure cane sugar
  • ½ cup water
  • a dash of maple syrup

Method
 

  1. Mash bananas before adding them to a small saucepan. Also add the butter. Cook over medium heat to melt the butter.
  2. Add the sugar, water, and maple syrup. Bring this to a simmer and let it stay there for about 5 minutes until the sugar is fully melted and integrated but the solution stays a liquid.
  3. Remove from heat and let the solution cool down for about 15 minutes before pouring through a strainer.
  4. The syrup is complete! Pull a shot, add the syrup and then add milk for the full experience.
