Chocolate Sticky Rice Balls

Really simple glutinous rice ball (mochi) recipe using dutch processed cocoa to add chocolate flavoring

Servings 16 balls

Ingredients
  

  • ¾ cup + 3 tablespoons glutinous rice flour
  • ¼ cup dutch processed cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • a pinch of salt
  • peanut butter (optional) easy to drizzle
  • sugar topping to taste. I used dulce de leche. Feel free to use condensed milk!

Instructions
 

  • In a large mixing bowl, mix together the 3/4 cups of glutinous rice flourcoco powdersugar, and salt. Then add water and mix until a proper paste is achieved.
  • Shape the paste into balls of your preferred size. Use the 3 tablespoons of glutinous rice flour to help shape with your handsds!
  • In a pot, add the balls to boiling water. When they float they’re done!
  • Top with peanut butter or sugar or a sweet topping to add a bit of flavor! Enjoy!
