In a medium pot, begin heating oil for deep frying. Peanut oil is generally the best oil to use for deep frying but just be sure to use an oil with a very high smoke point. You want to target 375º F for oil temperature.
Using a musubi mold, press some cooked rice into a small layer. Then using a knife, cut the rice width-wise into 4 equal pieces
Fry the rice slices in the oil until they start to brown. Remove and set aside to let it dry out.
Top with raw fish or any other sushi ingredient you want!
