White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 191.5 grams bread flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 113 grams butter browned butter preferred but optional
  • 130 grams brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 100 grams white chocolate chips
  • 50 grams unsalted macadamia nuts
  • furikake for garnish

Instructions
 

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine butter and brown sugar until a uniform paste is achieved. I suggest cutting the butter into smaller pads to make mixing easier. Next, add the egg and mix again until uniform. If you have brown butter (like I did) use it to make these cookies taste better!
  • Add the flourbaking powderbaking soda and salt. Mix until a cookie dough is formed. Finally, add the white chocolate chips and macadamia nuts and mix until evenly distributed.
  • Shape and place on a baking sheet lined with plastic wrap. Chill in the fridge for 30 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Remove cookies from fridge and place on a baking sheet lines with parchment paper. Sprinkle with furikake
  • Bake in 350°F oven for 12 – 15 minutes. If cookie dough is frozen, bake for 18 – 20 minutes.
